Taylor Time!
Hey All,
I'm back from my wicked trip to Japan!
I got over there on April 27th and hung out with Etsuko's family and friends in Kobe until May 2nd. I took a train out to Nagoya where I met up with G-Dog at the train station. Damn, I forgot how tall the G was :P We busted it out to the Toyota city area where he has setup shop with his HOT family! Fuzuki is super cute!
The next day we got up early and kicked it over to Toyama city. We wanted to start early because it was Golden Week, when most of Japan is on holiday. We expected the roads to get pretty crazy. Crazy it was! We got stuck in a 16 km traffic jam that took us 2 or 3 hours to get through!
Anyway, we hit up Toyama for 2 days where I got to hang out with Itsuki's family. It was a sweet time!
We busted it back to Toyata on the 3rd day in about 3.5hrs...the roads were clear sailing.
The G and I whipped on some pretty good steak and potato action that night. It was sweet cooking with the G again...haven't done that in about 6 years! G cooked up some killer pancakes the next morning which also reminded me of the good ol' days.
Graham, Itsuki, and Fuzuki were kind enough to drive me back the the Nagoya train station the next day where I hitched a train back to Kobe. I hung out there until May 8th when I caught a flight back to Van. I discovered travelling alone often has it's benefits. The plane was over-booked, so I got bumped up to 1st class! It was friggin' wicked...getting a good sleep in a comfy seat really helps with the jet lag!
